Hi Dave,

Here is my current setup for Black Widow joystick:

Highlights should be:

YAWTOROLLMODE - On Low Roll
THRUST LEFT - -JOY RZ-AXIS
THRUST RIGHT - +JOY RZ-AXIS

JOY 1 - Primary Fire
JOY 2 - Yaw-Roll Button
JOY 3 - Engine Boost
JOY 4 - Select Target Ahead
JOY 5 - Trust Down
JOY 6 - Trust Up
JOY 7 - Landing Gear
JOY 8 - Cargo Scoop

Flight Landing Overrides:
YAWTOROLLMODE_LANDING - OFF
THRUST LEFT - JOY POV1-LEFT
THRUST RIGHT - JOY POV1-RIGHT
THRUST FORWARD - JOY POV1-UP
THRUST BACKWARD - JOY POV1 DOWN

I hope this will help you.

many thanks for the set up it works well for me

I like the feel of the stick \ throttle but I admit it was a bit of a long set up
still it now seems to work fine the suckers hold it in place well and its a sold lump
the other stick I use is my lads thrustmaster for his ps3 again a sod to set up
but now works ok the only difference I can see between the two is the thrustmaster has a twist to yaw axis and a few more buttons and you can split the joystick and throttle

both are a quality budget choice IMO being half the price of the X52

hope this helps

wouldn't the thurstmaster T-flight hotas X be a better option as it is fully supported and costs the same amount ?

^^ i can certainly vouch for that suggestion, the T-Flight Hotas X works seemlessly with Elite and just feels so natural, I love it

I have used the Blackwidow since Premium Beta in fact I have been using it in Warbirds an online flightsim for a few years now...with no problems at all I use basically the same setup as commander mninik. for E;D although the Hotis looks like a good option for when my BW eventually dies.

Edit " I love the BlackWidow" it has the most perfect name for a game joystick.

well I have both and the difference is clear ish
blackwidoe feels good but lacks the yaw control (twist on the stick )
I now fly both as the thrustmaster gets priority on the ps 3 so iget second choice
but there isn't a pennys worth of difference realy as long as you set up the buttons

hope this helps dave

on and many many thanks for the 2nd poster who's set up I followed it was spot on I only needed a couple of tweaks thanks once again

Whereabouts do you set up the key bindings. I have the black widow and it works well however the landing gear key and a couple of others don't seem to be bound properly. I can't seem to see where I'd change this.

I use the throttle rockers for that.

I do too, but don't you find the spring a tad stiff?
I find the throttle control to be a bit dodgy, as in if you have it set lower than 75% it tends to flick up and down rapidly causing you to kangaroo through space like a learner driver on their first lesson. It does settle down but if you use the yaw it starts again, or is it that my stick is faulty? would like some feedback please, I'm considering changing to a T-flight.

You need to go to the pause menu then Options, and Controls.
