There doesn't seem to be much left to do in Premium beta (bar earn a fortune), I've been to most of the places and done a good number of strange things; Surfed the rings of a planet, destroyed my ship ramming a navigation beacon, failed to get the hang of Flight Assist Off, overestimated my ability to kill more than one pirate.
At this point the limitations should make it a little boring but I still love it. Mainly because so many of the planets are so beautiful. I spend quite a bit of time just hanging in space looking at them. My wife's favourite is Vulcan for some reason. Maybe because it is hot like her. But she likes sitting next to me and looking at the planets as we fly about. She got very excited when I showed her her seat in our Cobra.
I like meeting other players too. I've not been grief-ed yet, though I've been killed by other players and killed them. But the most fun has been meeting players and not shooting. In these cases strange and magical ship dances occur with much flashing of lights and opening of cargo bays. I'm not sure what's going on, maybe they want me to dump my cargo, but I like it. Especially looping round Anacondas. I'm not sure if the Anaconda owners agree.
It's lovely. Well done.
