I don't understand how you can make such a massive change to earning potential like you did with the rare commodity nerf on basically the second day the game is out and still make the choice to not have a system wide wipe of the beta accounts. Allowing the beta players to abuse what you apparently considered an exploit based on the changes and keep the millions of credits they stockpiled is just so blatantly unfair to the people that did not play in beta and had almost no opportunity to build up a nest egg through the trading of rare commodities before it was nerfed into the ground is so absurdly unfair that I am having a hard time drumming up any interest at all in playing and sort of wish I could get my money back.
The decision not to wipe the beta progress is questionable but understandable. The change to rare commodity trading is extremely questionable and difficult to understand at all. The combination of those 2 decisions together and the ramifications thereof is, quite frankly, inconceivable and hugely disappointing.
I have played since PB and kept my CMDR from gamma.
Well i have currently 1,7 Mil credits in assets, not cash.
If you think trading is slow, try piracy.
There are several people with big bucks on their heads out in the void,
why not adapt to the changing game and do something else, apart from mindlessly trading?
I imagine the game will be continually adjusted and balanced. They are not going to keep wiping though.
I reset my save on release as I made a lot of credits with rare goods in the previous few days. Too many. It was cheating really, and ultimately not fun. You're better off without.
Dabba... You're assuming that those of us who made millions did it exclusively using exploits?
So, OK.. lets assume that some did use exploits to gain their credits... How does this affect YOUR game?
