Blatantly unfair - wipe necessary

If you just want it to play as race and want it to be fair and want a wipe, prepare to be unhappy with the game, that is all. I personally dont care if you are unhappy and so does most others I wager. Its your choice.

Ive got 140 million in the bank but im flying around in an Eagle now.

Trust me, having truckloads of dough makes no difference to your enjoyment of the game.

If you cant enjoy it in a Sidey you wont enjoy it in anything.

There will be bugs/cheats/exploits. It's just how things works with ANY software. Do OP propose to wipe every time he thinks that something is unfair?

I have like 70K at the moment and that's a huge money for me :D Playing since regular beta and enjoying it playing that way. I don't need obscene amount of credits to enjoy the game.

The decision not to wipe the beta progress is questionable but understandable. The change to rare commodity trading is extremely questionable and difficult to understand at all. The combination of those 2 decisions together and the ramifications thereof is, quite frankly, inconceivable and hugely disappointing.

Tell that to my in-game balance under 100k. Tell that to my low reputation with the Federation ( they will go down in flames ! )
Tell that to my successful head hunting and smuggling E:D career.Tell that to my in-game bounty.


Just a couple hours a day player, so no big stuff to speak of but I AM ADAMANTLY against any wipe that would affect all the fun I had so far and the results of all the stuff I did.

NOT EVERYONE IS A TRADER ForFS, stick that in your little "credits" brain.

So...If someone uses an exploit in the game I get MY save wiped.
How will that benefit me, and protect me from these evil exploiters?

Money in this game means nothing, I have a tricked Eagle for combat and an Adder for mining/missions don't really have too many plans beyond that...maybe a cobra later.

OP seems obsessed with other people cheating. This isn't the only thread he's started talking about it. I think it might be projection.

I played since the end of alpha and I've wiped my character twice since the change to rares. If your meta game is to be the richest person in the universe, you were on to a loser by not being in at day 1 whatever the mechanics. If not.. then who cares? You can make all the money you need to do anything right now. It's not like there's a big player arms race.

While I think rares are probably the worst thought out element of a game involving a trade simulation I can think of I wouldn't wipe the people that traded them, It isn't their fault they were poorly implemented. I just think they should never have been put in in the first place, or they should at least be illegal like super high class smuggling.

Old discussion - best left closed to avoid causing concern by other forum users who may think a wipe is currently planned or worried about.

Not the case. No wipes are planned.. Play safe and play hard!!
