'Bleeding' guests

And the same goes for the welfare of your animals. I've seen screenshots of players with 20-30 notifications about their animals..

Maybe try to fix those and see what it does with your finances..

Sometimes adding a new habitat/animal, will fix [edit] your income [/edit].. It's somewhat ridiculous how much this can impact on your zoo on visitor count/donations etc..

In my new zoo.. i have 3 habitats total with 4 exhibits.. So far it has not been doing bad.. it had its lumps and bumps though..
I wonder if a discord channel might be a start to actually being able to help one another a bit easier.. These chats can be somewhat impersonal and things that be read wrong..

I am SO GLAD to see that I'm not the only one experiencing these various symptoms. I, and I expect many others reading this thread, believed I was alone in experiencing the guest drop and the guest satisfaction drop. However, I do have a couple of notes to add.

1: Regarding the "patch shock" mentioned previously, are you sure it should only last about one year? My zoo has now been experiencing these problems for over three years in-game.

2: In addition to the other complications, it seems that guests have practically abandoned about two-thirds of my zoo. Literally not one guest in or near probably ten of my habitats. While it is true that most of my guest facilities are concentrated around the entrance, the now-deserted areas are well supplied with facilities which, until the patch, were actually suffering from overcrowding. I'd post heatmap shots of my guests and facility locations if I knew how. Is anyone else experiencing this?

3: Thank you, Moosegun, for reminding us all that guest happiness is more than just the sum of guest needs; like (I suspect) many of us, I learned that lesson from Planet Coaster and then forgot it. Not a major problem for me, but still good to know.

UNCONFIRMED but I just read on another thread that you can actually limit the number of guests in the zoo. Supposedly it is in settings, under "game", under guest settings. Again, this is unconfirmed.

I can confirm it. Although I guess I may be the one who posted it in another thread that you read. :)

It works in all game modes now and I use it in literally all of my franchise zoos for no other reason than I do not like how crowded things get without setting a limit.

Just want to say that after applying a few of the suggestions from this thread (and adding a few new marquee animals into a large habitat I already had), I seem to have stopped the bleeding. Guest numbers, happiness and financials have recovered to pre-patch levels. The ideas in this thread work. Thanks, everyone!

I've also not experienced the weird and slow 'guest bleed', but instead I've encountered another problem that I've described in the thread about guests getting refund.
