...and bypasses emergent gameplay completely.

So long as 'emergent game play' means free-range murder hobos continuing to dig their own cess-pit in the middle of the sandbox and then getting upset when people choose to avoid it... then yeah, I'll keep bypassing it. Making my millions and millions of credits by farming trade routes, slaughtering helpless NPCs and leaving my indelible mark all over the nice, clean sandbox. We both have the same tools here, I just choose to have fun and play nicely with mine.

Just imagine me leading a charge of a thousand care bears, meowing into the terrible bleakness of space and loving every second of it.

We aren't stupid, despite what you say. We know most people will just go to solo because they are afraid or whatever. We don't care. Setting up and running these blockades are enjoyable even if they are not successful. You claim we are the anti social closet dwellers but if you looked at the situation we are playing with and against tins of people at a time while you hide in solo. Please enough with the personal insults, it's getting quite silly.
