Blocking Police?

not sure if this has been mentioned.

Is blocking police a valid pirate tactic?

Block the police - they never get instanced with you..

:D

Testing.. now blocking every police man i see

that reminds me, has anyone tested it to see if it does block you from being in the same instance as another human? some would call it a carebear mechanic but if its there it needs testng.

Hah, no that won't block them from matchmaking - NPC's appear through a very different arrangement than players!

It will probably block comms from them ofc, but that just means you won't see the warning before they try to paste you ;).

i hope you remove the option to report them, otherwise come release you guys are going to get spammed by new players who didn't know the difference between a human and and NPC, there has already been one post i can recall that confused the two. ;)

what about police PC ?????

Warbrand; I don't think becoming the police has ever been asked before... .But It doesn't seem to fit the "one man against the galaxy" theme of the game. I know joining the military was discussed; and decided against. But in the latter it was also noted you could be a contractor, working for the military of one of the Factions. So perhaps there's just not a mechanism to make a "police PC" possible in E:D.

I was under the impression from earlier discussions that people with Wanted status will still be instanced with you even if they block you.

So Alice (a stinking pirate) blocks Bob (a bounty hunter); if Alice has a bounty, which is quite likely, they will be instanced together.

But if Bob blocks Alice, they won't be placed in an instance together unless Bob has a bounty, which is less likely.

That's how I understood it would work, so that peaceful trader types could block pirates, whereas vengeful bounty hunter types like yours truly could still find pirates even if they're trying to block bounty hunters.
