Blown up, everything missing on ship

So i buy a brand new type 9, outfit it, pick up my first mission and go to leave the station, now theres a big ship that looked like it was just outside the mailslot but before i could back up i released it was actually inside the slot, blocking it and seemingly hovering there with its thrusters on, i am sure it was an npc, i looked at the radar, so its unmoving im tangled, it finally gets blown up so i try to push out in time but only have a few seconds left so i dont make it out and get blown up to, so there goes my ship, here comes a fine and insurance, so i go to buy everything back, get out of the jail dock only to find all my hardpoints, all my utility mounts and all my optional extras that cost a small fortune for me are now gone!, i mean... seriously , just abit annoyed right now and uninstalling this thing is looking like a mighty fine option.

Sounds like you've committed a fairly common error and deselected the option to pay the full rebuy cost of your modules, and just spent for the hull.
Send a polite message to support, open a support case and they can very likely help you out.

Sounds like you actually chose to sell the items, rather than buy them back. The interface is a tad confusing, so it's easy to do.

You could try raising a support ticket (link on the game launcher).

I think you should just take your licks and be more careful next time.

Don't go bugging support to reimburse you for your own negligence.

No thats the whole point though, even if i hadnt of got tangled on the ship in the slot i still would of timed out and got blown up afew seconds after it did, it was sitting in the slot not that i could see touching anything, with its thrusters going and not moving, so i was blocked till it got blown up and then me after it, i almost made it out with 2 seconds left but it was to late so i dont see how this is my negligence.

Displaying the option to Re-buy only the Hull when the Player has sufficient Funds for Full Re-buy is just bad design. Should be changed to only be made available when Full Re-Buy is not possible and Hull only is. Would prevent experiences like this and hurt no one.

He means your negligence in not clicking the correct button on the Re-buy screen.

Certainly a minor error on your fault, but it is primarily bad design that is to blame. I would open a ticket.

I've been in tourist stations with enough consecutive Belugas getting stuck in the slot I was running low on time to get out, and there is an easy way to deal with it, log out. If you are still in the station you will log back in on a pad. If you are already getting fined, then there is a timer to log out and probably better off just pushing your way through.

I remember flying around in my new Type-9, and it isn't easy! Stick with it, you'll look back on this incident with fondness some day.

Well there is a little known issue where you can get stuck. The next time it happens, try toggling your landing gear and see if that jostles you free. It usually works.

I don't think he was stuck, another ship (assuming Beluga) was stuck in the slot so long his timer to leave the station had expired by the time he could get through, but still a good thing to keep in mind.

It was a big ship with large tail fins at the back thats all i could make out hehe, i would of sent in a bug report for it but then i did the whole, yeah lets throw everything in my ship away scenario thats apparently a thing so put in a bug report and a reclaim ticket, if i dont get anything back then so be it, i'll admit i was ummm alittle annoyed at the time and might not of looked at the insurance page properly, thanks for the replies.

I happened to have a rebuy screen yesterday evening so fresh experience. Lost Krait Phantom with 2 non standard modules. Rebuy screen is indeed not very clear in the matter of covering all losses. So, unless you carelessly just clicked insurance claim without fully reading and understanding what you read, you could easily figure what you are claiming.

Check the rebuy amount.

At first I just wanted to claim but then I noticed there are tick boxrs under ship name. Ticked and they changed color. Rebuy price dropped. So I excluded those options from the claim. Ticked again, price raised. So I included modules. Ticked in and out to see how the price changes, choose the higher one, got my ship with modules back.

So I agree with vindelanos - rebuy screen design bad or not, one should read and understand what's there. Hasty clicking buttons lead to facepalm/rage moments.

And a word of advice - for the mailslot stuck problem:
- as already mentioned; landing gear trick. Lower down/retract to see if it works
- if not; good old combat log. Just quit to main menu and relog. Upon relog you'll be placed bit away from the station, safe.

I know, shady tactic but if things that should work won't work, no need to suffer consequences for glitchy collision boxes.

Next time something fishy happens in the mail slot, log out to the main menu, relog. You should be out of the station. Kinda cheesy, but hey, it remains a video game at the end of the day.
