Blue Streak situation in Prua Phoe region (approaching Clooku region en route to Colonia)

Amy carriers heading to Colonia this afternoon/evening?

I made the mistake, on another such trip yesterday, of making some side cheddar with stellar cartography observations*, and using a corvette laden down with 200 units of progenitor cells to do it. On the fifth occasion, I just missed boarding, and was left 675 jumps from Colonia, with no hope of catching up. I'm now 550 jumps away, but if anyone is passing by, I could use a lift.

I'm just desperate/impatient enough to hand over the cells as payment (a commander with a carrier who occasionally takes it to Colonia might already have Petra Almanova unlocked, but might also know someone else who will trade for them in Colonia), but I'm also wondering if they can make use of any cartography data sold to their carrier, as was the case in the X series, where you could buy information about other systems without going to them personally?

*in case I had trouble again with getting a carrier back, and had to summon my Asp for a hefty sum, and a far heftier one to recall the Corvette.

Bad timing, but I won't be online again until about 7pm, to make a mad dash to wherever I need to go. At least I'm in a good fuel region at the moment.

That's between me and my flightsuit.

Weird thing, and I assume this is only the case when approaching a carrier about to jump, as I come out of SC and boost to within docking request range, then access that function, it's already saying 'Cancel request?' Usually, I have plenty of time to play it safe, backspace and make the request manually. I did that this time as well, to play safe, and now, obviously, I wish I'd left it, and trusted to some hitherto unknown failsafe function created on behalf of slowcoaches wanting to dock, last minute.

Also.. Why not buy progenitor cells in Colonia? Increases range at the same time

Don't know what to tell you. Last time I was at Colonia, and looking to unlock Petra, it seemed impossible to find progenitor cells, and I thought I'd messed up, and that they could only be found in the bubble. Now I see Hawkes Gaming says they can be be bought easily in Ogmar. Which is lucky as, due to my old Nacom game pad joystick breaking, and me having to switch to a Gioteck PS4 controller instead, struggling with the settings, I was blindsided by a pirate in Asura and panic-clogged out. Logging in again, of course the Corvette had survived, but it had lost shields, and 13 units of cells. Should have brought extra, but I figured I'd probably get that small amount from some carrier. Now it'll be even easier.

If I can just unyolk the mouse from steering again...

What is a blue streak situation?

It's where you find yourself off a fast method of transport you were on, and desperate to get back on it again.

It's a reference to the film, 'Blue Streak', starring Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder, where they got thrown off the titular train, and had to get back on because Wilder's newly met love interest was at risk from the people who had thrown them off.

I think they managed to get back on board twice, but I watched it a long time ago, and my memory isn't perfect. Was there a crop-duster plane at some point?

I'm in Colonia now, anyway. In the end, I had to abandon the bridge stations, because however carefully I typed in the system names, it came up with 'No results found'.

Here's an odd thing, though. About 180 (21 ly) jumps from Colonia, I randomly scanned a planet, and detected 4 sites of 'wreckage'. I went down to take a look, but way out in the black, there were two skimmers hovering around the first one, and I couldn't land nearby, and had no SRVs in my hangar (again, partially because of the way they've changed outfitting for Odyssey), so I wasn't chancing it. I bookmarked the planet, and have sent for my Asp. Might go back and take a look, now the stakes aren't so high.
