Blueprint Builder Mode

Dear all,

As many with you, I made the poor decision of playing Planet Zoo on a relatively slow laptop. Still, I really enjoy the game, but it is sometimes hard for me to deal with all the lag. This is especially a problem when I'm building more complex buildings. To avoid the problem, I sometimes decide to build these in an empty map which I don't use for an actual zoo, from where I save them and upload the blueprint in my zoo.

Now, if I remember correctly, one of the old Rollercoaster Tycoon games (I believe it was the 2nd one) had a special mode for building blueprints. While I never managed to make it work, I believe it would be great to have such a mode in Planet Zoo. The idea is to just have an empty space with a grid where you can design buildings which you can then save as a blueprint. This way, we don't need to save maps purely for drafts of buildings, but can go to a separate mode which is less demanding on our computing power. From here, buildings can be saved and then pasted into our zoos.

Is there any way this would work in Planet Zoo? I feel like I haven't read this suggestion before, so I feel like there may be serious constraints which I haven't considered, but from where I see it, this would be a great addition for the players among us who love buildings but can't afford a much better computer.

I mean, yes and no.

There isn't a literal blueprint mode a la RCT2/3, but what I do is I have a blank sandbox map where I build blueprints that I will be using often (which is never often😅)

So, in a weird way, there is a blueprint mode. See what I'm sayin'?

EDIT: Oh yeah, missed part of your comment. Yes, I'm up for this idea, but it's not essential for me
