Blueprinted construction

We didn't have sandbox mode in the beta but I understand that with it we have unlimited resources. Is that right? I am thinking that I may use it to make a few construction ideas I have and save them as a blueprint to later move to my zoo in the franchise mode. If I used features in a blueprint that had not been researched yet in the franchise mode would I have to wait until the research is done before it can be placed? For example a solar panel on the roof of a building.

You would most probably need to research content before being able to place it, I would go as far to assume that you may not even see the blueprints show up until you have researched the items required to place those blueprints in franchise. Otherwise there would be no point in research if everyone could just go make buildings for free sans research and then place them without knowing how to actually build in their zoo using that item yet. Thats just my best guess though.
