Ships BOA - Large playable ships

Do we have any other information about when we can expect to have some large ships.
The last information I read some sometime in summer, is this still the case?

I'd really like to have news.
1. BOA CRUISER
2. BULK CARRIER
3. ANY OTHER (playable) LARGESHIP
4. PANTHER CLIPPER

Thanks in advance.
Best wishes

This has been discussed on several other threads but mostly mixed up.
In summary the thoughts are:

Size is limited by mailbox and what is reasonable to get in/out -> Unless they invent a new way of interacting for large ships.
Biggest of the big ships like the Federal Corvette and Panther Clipper have been teased but nothing regarding a date, lots of the community feel that if an end game ship was introduced this early into the development (planet landings, leaving pilots seat etc all still to go) then it would ruin or unbalance a lot of the late game.

1) Boa seems possible but I haven't heard any official word yet: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=9843
2) Griffin carrier seems less favoured, probably due to the insane cost you'd have to pay for the 2,000+ tons of cargo space. T9 is currently filling that role nicely.
3) See above on Federal Corvette https://twitter.com/elitedangerous/status/563789333392400385
4) See above.

Thanks for the feed back.
Do we have any official word from Frontier about the future of large ships?
I'd really like to get some word on a new large ship arriving. After flying the anaconda so long, I'm in need of a new navy vessel.

Perhaps with drones FD could unload ships too big for stations- but then, how would they get repairs or outfitted? Maybe 1.4 > will introduce stardocks for the largest of ships.

yeah some of the outposts have some interesting attachments. I've went up with my conda, and it seems like some parts could have a larger ship than my conda go into these slots on the outposts.

Even some NPC massive ships would be great. Cutting about in Frontier next to a station and seeing those big bulk carriers was a nice touch, it makes the galaxy seem more alive.

The Panther Clipper isn't that big to ruin gameplay.
There are pics showing it alongside an Anaconda.

Or it could be these can only be landed on planets, we shall know in about 12 months time either way :)

Why 12 months? Frontier said back in January that these ships would be here for summer.

I total agree with you, I liked those cool images of the panther on a Pad. I don't think the panther will have any problems getting threw the slot, and I believe Frontier would of planned the slot around the SHIP. (BOA/PANTHER/CARRIER)

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone whom read and responded to this thread, thank you very much for sharing.

I am really looking forward to seeing some larger ships, as these small tiny ships are just so fast, and after a couple of hours flying them you want a chance to either play a different game, or fly a large ship, and after 4 months of flying this Anaconda I'm in need of some new ship. I hope that over the next months we see a new large playable ship or two, or its going to be time for a new game, already most of my community Cmdrs. from the backing stage have gotten fed up and moved on for that reasons, some have asked me to tell them when a large ship arrives, others have just simply given up with the game :(
