The board expectations are absolutely ridiculous. I chose to create a team with okay, not good just okay, facilities but a poor car, largely because facility upgrades chew into your cost cap very quickly. The amount of upgrades that can be made over a season is also very limited because of the cost cap in the first season. I have done a research project on all the affected parts for next season as well as upgrading each part once and one part twice and I am already $13,000,000 away from hitting the cap.
I have the 21st and 22nd ranked car on the grid. The board expects me to finish 7th in the constructors, with the WEAKEST car on the grid. Even with the upgrades that have improved areas of the car I still have the weakest cars on the grid overall. So the season expectation is ridiculously broken.
Then there’s the race expectations. With the worst two car on the grid the board has been disappointed with EVERY race weekend despite my two cars often finishing between 14th and 20th in the races.
What exactly is the board supposed to be? I chose to start with an overly weak car specifically for the challenge of building it up over seasons, the board however seems to think that the weakest car on the grid should be scoring points consistently right from the off.
This is a serious issue with the game that really needs to be fixed. My first season with this setup should be finish 10th and the races should be anything above the bottom three is acceptable.
