Just seen a couple of reviews and watched some gameplay re the newly released game.

Looks tremendous fun, very hectic gameplay, a bit of a WW2 version of FTL were you have to fly a lancaster bomber on daring do missions, while keeping your plane in the sky,
and crew alive.

Not all of them I hope.

Fire bombing Dresden is a pretty terrible thing to do for entertainment, even in a cartoon plane.

Agreed. No pause function and your crew will only do things if you focus your attention on them for a few seconds at the peril of everything else.

It was a nice idea though.

I've been losing a ton of time to it. It's not stressful when you know what you're doing.

Having a pause key would kind of defeat the purpose of thinking and responding when a lot is going on. But I watch a lot of air crash investigation

I always find it odd what people want from games, or if they totally missed the point of the game.

Example:

1. Engine two is on fire
2. Mid gunner low on ammo
3. Right wing venting fuel
4. Bandits spotted

So put out the fire, transfer fuel from the right wing to the left, spot the enemies, then rearm the gunner.
