Bombing - another way to use mines?

Has anyone tried using mines point blank like a bombing run?

I know there are some issues with launching them behind you and consistently hitting your target, but i've never heard of anyone trying to use them offensively...

Wondering if it's worth trying or not.

I've tested this. They do decent hull damage so if enemy shields are down and yours are still up this works. It isn't worth the hardpoint replacement of any weapon though IMO, kind of a gimmicky for fun thing to do.

The fact things like this even get brought up shows how poor the weapon truly is.
