Bonded lions still fighting?

I like to keep prides of lions and track them through the generations. In one my prides, senior leader Bongani had a son he favoured and that he bonded with (it showed bonded in the status screen also for both of them) named Sekayi.
I assumed this meant I could leave Sekayi (and only Sekayi, not the other un-bonded sons) in with Bongani after he grew up and they wouldn’t fight, but they fought. I removed Sekayi and put him back in to refresh and they haven’t fought again yet.
Do only bonded brother lions cooperate or did I just have a minor glitch? For context, this was after re-enabling fights which had been disabled, so maybe that was the issue.

What does the Zoopedia say? Can lions tolerate young that grow up?

I think it’s only bonded brothers that can be left together.

I’ve left them together after refreshing for a long time and they haven’t fought, so I suppose things are back to normal.

edit: lol nevermind. Would be nice if it worked, for that element of added realism. Makes it a little pointless that every leader lion has a bonded cub.
