Community Event / Creation Book projects and refunds?

Just thought. If a book KS succeeds, the funds are pledged to ED.

If ED isn't funded, all pledges are returned.

Will KS insist on their fees for the book, as as far as they are concerned that project has been funded and it's not their fault that it's a sub-project?

KS will have already taken their fees. DB has already said that he will consider striking a deal with the writers so that the books can still go ahead (I think he also hopes that the game might still happen even if this KS fails). Personally I think that it would have made more sense for the writers to talk to the £5k pledgers who might not be intending to use their Writers Pack rights.

DB has said that the books can go ahead without the game, but obviously we're getting the game so no worries. The force is strong with this one :)

I had actually assumed that the 5k pledge level does not include the Writers Pack, but I checked and you are right - the text on the original 5 says it includes "everything above".

The trouble is that we don't know who those pledgers are...
