Booking time off work for Beta release?

My booked off time is mid-Apr. 4 weeks off, and it's starting to look like I will need to buy alpha to get a few weeks quality gaming in rather than going straight to 1st Beta. Sounds like I will need a few weeks to master combat with FA off in any case :)

I must agree with this. Never taken a recovery day either after a late night out either (mainly because I don't do late nights out).

I would base how many days of work (DOW) you should take on the number of forum posts (FP) you have made.

DOW = FP x 0.025

This assumes each forum post is about 30 secs, and includes the estimated time taken on both forum writes and reads. DOW is seen in 8hr work days.

I think its fairly conservative when set at 30secs as it does not take into consideration other ways ED may have used up one's valuable time ;

- alpha particpation
- video/audo productions
- KS discussion participation
- etc etc

For a person with 1,000 forum posts, this comes in at 25 work days you should call in sick for once ED is released. I come in at about a week.
