In an attempt to not sound too snarky.....Horizons should never have been released without a means to pin/flag/bookmark a coordinate. Grossly over looked so far.
According to official statement (can't find the source, as usual in such cases) FDEVs "don't see a gameplay value behind bookmark/navigation involving planetary coordinates". Hence the low priority.
Instead we have "quality and engaging gameplay" with lat/long coord counters.
Seriously? You are joking right?According to official statement (can't find the source, as usual in such cases) FDEVs "don't see a gameplay value behind bookmark/navigation involving planetary coordinates". Hence the low priority.

One of the most useful features... well no we dont have it. Some fanboys will tell ya that its good because you need to apply "skill" to find the location ya been already.
In my eyes, there is no sane reason why we cant make our own bookmarks on the surface in this "sandbox" game with one of the biggest maps in gaming history - every moon or rocky planet that we can land on is bigger than ya average game map....
Hey grumpy, would you be so kind as to quote these fanboys you mentioned?
I don't think anyone has said that bookmarks for surface features is a bad idea, or isn't needed.
I dont like to "name names" but he will show up eventually I`m sure![]()
If some form of plant side bookmarking is added in the Q4 update, I'll be surprised.
Was the feature to bookmark coordinates on the surface of a planet ever added?
“We want this and have done for a little while, but its finding the right time and feature to slide it in with”
