Bookmarks in the Nav Panel please

The whole having to 'load up' the map is so immersion breaking. They should try to add more to the panels and HUD so it's not so neccessary all the time. This happens also when viewing Galnet or groups, etc. I mean, I can see them still having that as a more detailed option, but those things should be viewable from panels or HUD, even if only headlines or portions of articles.

So we don't have to open the galaxy map every time to access our bookmarks.

That is all

So much space available in the forward Pop up (SRV/SLF options) Would be great to add some of the basic galmap functions in there, bookmarks, switch between econ/standard plotting. last visited systems etc.. Could easily be turned into a stripped down Nav computer.

You mean the 'crotch' panel?? :p

You would be splitting functions with similar and complementary behaviours into multiple separate locations, that's just a red flag for GUI designers, that's why we don't have "load" and "save" in two different menus in word processors. Functions that are similar and/or complementary are put together so that they can be easily used and found. The nav panel is for quick access to commonly used functions, the galaxy map is for digging deeper into the galaxy navigation system. It's not ideal to have them split up but I suspect it would be messy to have them all in one area, but splitting them into three different areas won't really help much.

Yet every single (real and simulated) FMGS (Flight management guidance system) is designed like that. It really isn't a huge effort, actually makes sense when designing systems with ergonomics in mind.
