Bookmarks - Quality of life improvements.

Hi,

As a new(ish) PS4 Commander, when I heard of the QoL pass coming up, I started to think about what small QoL improvements I would have if I could.

I'm an explorer at heart, and so bookmarks are quite high on my QoL wishlist.

I would love to be able to organise them into categories / folders which are editable. Editable colour coding would be great too. It'd be great to have an Engineers folder, A nebula folder, an interesting POI folder and so on.

I'd also ideally like the option to sort them manually, rather than having them in alphabetical order. For instance I might want my engineer folder at the top, or bottom. The workaround I use at the moment is to number the bookmarks i want at the top of the list, but this is quite clunky and messy, and needs updating whenever I change to a different activity.

I'm sure this has probably been mentioned a lot already, and if so then I'm just adding my +1 to "yes please!"

i don't see any problems with the current system.

likewise i categorise my bookmarks with x y z prefixes for interesting systems. then use - / . prefixes for cg or trade routes. but an improved bookmark system would be appreciated.

Because they are sorted alphabetically, I edit the bookmark name with letters that designate categories for me. HM Home Base, T Good trade Spot, POI Point of Interest, etc... I love the color coding idea, and I'd also love to add a note to each bookbark, a freeform text box where I can enter notes to myself about the Bookmark.

I too am hoping for some QoL improvements for GalMap Bookmarks, particularly a way to enter note(s) for each. I hope it's one of the lower hanging fruits for FDevs to harvest post-2.4's completion.

I would love to have the Star Date on my Book marks. So you can see when you left and when you be back.

I'd like color coding. Would be really nice if you could match them to the colors for trading/system types. But as is I just edit the names to say whats important about it.

There needs to be far more bookmarks available. I have gone back to using sidewinders as bookmarks.

Yes I agree I would love to see some colours etc current limit of 200 is crazy small you could just about plot route to colonia via neutron highway and have no book marks left for anything else I have plotted all the deep space station outside of the bubble and alien crash sites and don't have many left for anything else

Bookmarks have plenty of uses but using them to record routes, it puzzles me.
I use symbols as a method of keeping information in catagories but I would have no problem with them being sorted into groups by the game.
What I really need from bookmarks is the ability to store more information in them. Let the bookmark have a title but once opened if there could be somewhere I could jot down a paragraph. I use the bookmarks to keep tabs on contacts I encounter in systems and what I am doing with them. More info would help alot to keep tabs on my activities with these contacts.
