Currently, the bookmarks feature lacks deeper organisation options, e.g. the ability to organise bookmarks into categories, and any sort of filter, either through search or ordering functions, which makes them nigh unsustainable in larger amounts.

The way I currently do sorting is with prefixes. For example, all of my engineer bookmarks are prefixed with ENG. It does get annoying when you need to scroll through all of your bookmarks just to find a specific station in the 50+ bookmarks you have. Can we get filters to sort by bookmarks by type please? I don't want to look at bookmarks for systems, planets, stations, etc at the same time. If I'm looking for a planet I only want to be looking at planets, and the same thing goes for systems and stations. Even if it was just a short list that let us filter for different types of destinations, it would be so much better than what we currently have.

I also use prefixes to sort. The main issue I have is that I keep running out of bookmark space so if FDev increased it that would be cool.

I have just been thinking about this and had wondered if it had already been suggested, so I completely agree with this proposal. Categories and colour coding as others have suggested would be a fairly simple thing to implement you would think i.e. Thargoid structure sites could be one colour and systems which sell rares another.
