You can rename them so it contains information, I do for quite a few of mine, they don't show up on the galaxy map but you can easily find them in the bookmark list. Still, it's a system that has been long overdue for a serious revamp. Coloured, subfolders, different icons, options to just show a subset of selected bookmarks on the galaxy map, all of these and more would be welcome.

I have not run out of bookmarks yet, but that is because the list get so long... so take time to scroll down to the one I am looking for.... so most of my list is bookmarks I do not really use.... sad actually.

So if we would have better ways to organise bookmarks, like in sub-groups/tree structure etc, I would use them alot more. and of course then I would want more of these....

Even if they dont let us put our own ones in they could at least add alien/gaurdian structures and asteroid bases outside of bubble and maybe tourist attractions

As far as i can tell this has been requested to death. The whole system needs an overhaul to make it more usuable, and an option to save bookmarks locally.

I've wanted folders ever since they put bookmarks in the game, would really make a difference. You could say have engineers in one place, trade routes in another, favourite locations in another and maybe for guardians or thargoids as well so it would be great to separate them all and make it so easy to access what bookmarks you want without searching the whole list.
