Boom Questions (And a couple other states)

I keep seeing conflicting info on the Boom state regarding its influence boost.

Some sources say it doubles the influence gain from trading. Others say it doubles it from trade missions. Which one is it? Is it both? Is someone using poor terminology in calling trade runs "missions?"

On that note, is there any influence effect from Investment or Civil Liberty? I thought I had seen something about Investment making exploration data worth more, but not sure if this is outdated.

The flavour text that the station commander says during Investment oftem mentions that they need exploration data for their expansion efforts and are prepared to pay extra for it. But in truth, no such effect has ever been reliably observed. See some discussion in this thread in the Exploration subforum.
