Boosters Supercruise and Jump malfunctioning

Just starting to look at tracking this one down but before I start unplugging/reinstalling drivers is anyone else having a problem with their boosters and jump buttons on a HOTAS since Update 6?

I have found that the jump button (either jumping or exiting supercruise) just doesn't work (most of the time) on the HOTAS unless I power down and then back up - the "J" key works fine to do the same thing - same problem with boosters but everything else appears to be working. I am running EDO - I haven't tried yet in Horizons - just wondering if it's a know problem (can't see anything similar from a search on the issue tracker).

Cheers

USB power problem?
Plug your hub in other ports, make sure only one usb per two USB's to maximize the power you have on the usb rails

I wondered if it was a hardware issue as it is intermittent (sometimes works) - it has been working fine until a few days ago - I need to do some more diagnosis this eve.

In the past i've been running into randomly unfunctional buttons or ghosting on my HOTAS. FWIW it got permanently fixed once i've attached it to an external powered usb 3.0 hub.

Looking like a hardware issue - with the windows joystick properties I can see that the buttons are switching off as the throttle is moved up - I'm guessing I need to get out my screwdriver :(

I've had this with a powered hub as well, when my foot decided by itself to kick the power cord out of the hub.

So go for a powered hub, or plug straight to the motherboard via the back of the pc case or as applicable.

Saves having to dismantle the stick and have springs fire themselves into your eyes!

Oh for flippin bluedies sake - thank you for the advice guys - it flippin is the hub - how can a fault like that look so much like a loose connection but pluggin it into the back of the machine sorts it out - time to order a new powered hub!
