I'm so stoked coming off that last mining run! Went to a painite hotspot, it took a while to find a crackable rock, the second was a little shorter and the third? Well, it was one of 3 that I found one right after the other!
It started to thin out towards the end and I rode around trying to fill the last couple of bins without any limpets in the hold. When my collectors died, I just kept going and suddenly, another crackable rock! Hummmmm…. Can you crack a rock without prospectors? Why yes, yes you can!
I looked for fissures, and fired 3 full strength and one medium in 4 different cracks and had a perfect center line full! 30 seconds later, BOOOOMMMM! I ended up dumping every bit of the platinum that I had and fill up both the cargo and the refinery for a really nice haul... 158,000 per ton, the best I've ever gotten!
