Parks Bo's Communityville - Rebooted

Hi everyone.

I gave myself another weekend side-project last weekend. My challenge.... Take Bo's community park from last week's Planet Coaster Community Livestream and in 2 days, decorate and expand it.
She also featured my Treasure Guardian coaster (so I was really chuffed), as well as some other amazing blueprints created by the community.

So I started with this

And ended up with this

You can visit the park here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=770950578

It says a lot about this game that I could get all this done in such a short space of time.

I doubled the width of the path by adding another around Bo's so I had to slightly move the blueprints she placed for the extra path. I also made sure none of the blueprints were hovering anymore.
I used nothing but the in-game blueprints for the shops but I sometimes changed the type of stall in them. Apart from the bridge, coaster stations, ride entrances, fence walls and the tall tower near the vertical drop, all the structures were just plopped in.

I built the Dive Coaster (and Treasure Guardian) but the excellent RMC T-Rex was by adryadry2008.

There is so much great stuff out there that building parks can be as easy as you want. I found some brilliant stuff for this one.

Here's the list of what I used so a massive thank-you to the creators.

That's everything. Thanks for looking.

Great work Nemmie

Just goes to show how great this game is at its core - in Alpha even.

Given with time and continuing support of this title by Frontier, this will be the RCT3 that we play for the next 10 years...

Again great job....

Thanks you lot.

Duckzorly, You've hit the nail on the head. I think this is the game that will take the reigns from RCT3 and let the old girl enjoy retirement.

Gregor, there's NO WAY your burger shop is leaving this park. It's been declared a site of world heritage and is now a custodian of the National Trust. In a thousand years, when Communityville is nothing but a hiccup of history, people will come to this place on the Summer Solstice to see the sun set along the slope of it's roof. [haha]

Syphirioth, I may do a video but I have other things I'm working on now so it probably won't happen. You never know though [wink]

Hahahah thanks! [haha]

Are all the buildings entirely from the Workshop?

Its a wonderful mess of snaking paths and clustered rides. I kinda love it [up][up]
(and yeah that racing basilisk is just fantastic).

Thanks Flamingjune.

The paths layout, when you simplify it is basically, the circle that Bo placed down (widened by moi) and then a large semi-circle around the sides and back of it, joined at varios points like spokes on a wheel. The guest flow seems to work.

The buildings, apart from the Community Blueprints that Bo put in, are mostly the in-game shop and building blueprints. I built the coaster stations, ride entrances and the tall tower near the vertical drop. I grabbed the Parade Float and the Gears of Fear Ride-skin from the Workshop.

The whole thing was an experiment really. I usually build everything from scratch and end up putting a lot of detail into it. I wanted to see how easy it was to quickly build a decent looking park and using blueprints makes this possible. It says a lot to how brilliantly designed this game is, I think. I reckon it would probably have taken a month of using my spare time to have got to this stage of the park in RCT3.
