Both new Boat Rides Transport Rides...

Both new Boat Rides are Transport Rides...

So, therefore, no guests ride them. Even the pre-built ride in game gets no guests even when the only ride in the park. But i put a vista point down and people went flocking to that as if it were a balloon stand. I thought one of these rides were supposed to act as a dark ride? They're both kinda...pointless if no guest will ride them.

Yeah. This has been my only disappointment so far too. [sad] I really wish these could be transport or a tracked ride with a single station. Right now it's not possible to make a simple "Jungle Cruise" ride.

Seems like this could be a pretty easy toggle they could create. The logic and programming needed in the game is already there. In fact, I don't see why every tracked ride couldn't offer operation in either mode (transport or tracked).

Also, (now this would be new logic to be added), it would also be great if we could have stations that are just for boarding and others that are just for unloading.

Hmm it says here one should be a dark ride but i'm still not seeing it.

i did try with 2 station for the island adventure 1 but no one ride it anyway. i even made them free to use for people but they do not ride it....

I have a feeling something went wrong with how the rides work.

As you can see Frontier added a Blueprint for one of the boatrides with 1 station. So that greatly implies it should also work as a non-transport ride. But obviously it doesn't.

Pretty disappointing but not surprising since that's how all the transport "rides" work. If they can enable this function for the boats, I hope they can enable it for the trains/monorail. We should be able to use these as rides too. You'd have to assume they had it functioning because there's a blueprint for it. No way they didn't test that...

Interesting I'll try that workaround, thanks! There was a small update I just noticed, but nothing seems to have changed in game concerning the boats

Remember the boat transport in RCT3? I believe you had to build two stations or it wouldn’t work. But I was hoping to use one of the boat rides as a ride with one station. I would really like a toggle for the steam trains and monorail, too to toggle them between ride and transport mode. There are train rides and monorails in parks with just one station. In RCT3 people would treat train rides, etc. as a ride but not make decisions to use the train to get somewhere else in the park. Please, make an option for transport rides to behave like a ride with one station so that people will ride them.

Yes that Blueprint tells me it was supposed to work both ways. Also read the description of the ride, it also tells you it can work both ways.

It does feel like this was just an oversight with the release version of the DLC. I'm sure we will see a fix

I really hope this is a simple oversight and we learn that transport rides CAN function as actual rides (if they enable it)... ...OR this is actually a really huge oversight and they completely forgot that their transportation doesn't actually act as rides...[mouth shut]

Will also be cool to have a variant of a boat without canopy and chimney so its not so high.

I agree...

To be honest, it would be awesome to have the watercoaster boat as a tracked ride. I would really love a tracked boatride in the spirits of :

- Pirates of the Caribbean / Small world / Fata Morgana

The boat on the watercoaster resembles them the most i think. But first fix the existing boat rides, and then the one im describing could be the next ride ;) [tongue]
