Anyhow, another weekend consumed. I had big plans to venture deep into the void, but farming res sites and other credit earning tasks distracted me for way tooooo long. Which is a bummer but oh well. What is cool is the rate at which exploration is occurring. I know someone out there has figured out a way to determine how many systems have been discovered and then graphed, plotted and extrapolated a bunch of interesting stuff into a glossy, colorful infochart. Am I right? Is it you? Come on lets see it!!

I mean when this game first came out, i thought wow they could have put a mere million stars in this galaxy model and it would be way too many for everyone to discover. Now I am not so sure. I am blown away that people have gone to SagA* and surely even further now. I am super curious what the data is and if you are still reading this, i bet you are too. If anyone can drop a clue, i'd be in your rep er..uh.. i mean debt (nudge nudge wink wink).

Players have discovered (visited at least the sun) of only 0.0004% of the galaxy (I'm sure someone will correct me but it's around that). Plenty left for you :)

If you do the maths, if you explore 24 hours a day for the rest of your life it will still take several people several generations to completely scan all the stars. This will also get more difficult as we dont know which ones have been scanned until we scan them. I have left instructions for my great grand children to continue the work.

A lot of people have gone a long way, but mostly in a straight(ish) line. Plenty of opportunity, so i have found, to choose a different line or divert off to the side and find many unscanned systems without having to spend years traveling. :)

LOL /golfclap to the moderator who changed my subject. First off this was a made up word not a swear word, it was made up by the late great Terry Pratchett. So congratulations on you for degrading its meaning, a truly grand show of intellect.
