Boucy landing pads

Regarding bouncy landing pads... I have noticed that if I am not properly aligned in my anaconda and I descend a bit too quickly, the ship does bounce off (usually to the side) the landing pad a lot more than it used to. It's not a huge deal, but it definitely feels like I'm trying to land on jelly.

Yeah, it's not game breaking, I just never needed 2 attempts to dock every time. I can see it becoming aggravating over time tho, so I'm hoping FD do correct it.

I do find it interesting how different pilots view the exact same changes to the mechanics in a game. How do you land? I tend to come in more like a plane to a runway, then just do the last few meters as a hovering ship.
It depends on what I'm flying, which pad I'm assigned and how fast I've come through the slot. Most times I will aim for far-end station pads, or surface pads, on a constant glide slope and only "flare" at the last second to bring the hull parallel with the pad, like a carrier landing looking for the arrestor wires. I rarely hover or do a vertical descent. But sometimes I will overshoot the pad, or misjudge where on the cylinder my pad is, and end up coming in at an oblique angle or even sideways between the floodlight pillars. It's with these misjudged approaches with last-second corrections that I've noticed the new behaviour, especially if I've just switched from a sluggish ship to one that's a bit more responsive. I can overcorrect, leaving the ship at an odd angle, and before I have a chance to correct it the pad "grabs" the ship, holds it for a split second, then levels it. It's quite subtle (sometimes I only notice when playing back recorded video) but it's there. If there are oddities with the pitch alignment as well as the roll, I can understand how it could lead to issues with larger ships.

Heck, I thought it was just me. Flying my anaconda and haven't touched it in a while so I figured I was just rusty so I took it slower the next time and same thing. Glad to know its not just my rusty skills.

It seems to be stations that use the new interiors that make use of the same landing pads as surface bases. These were more tricky to land on anyway, I found, and need you to be level and thrust downwards to make positive contact with the deck before they grab you. However, trying to do it in low G means you tend to bounce off.

The old style stations are fine.

This is my experience as well.
