Bought a paintjob but it's not showing in game

Hi,

i bought a paint job yesterday but it's not showing up in game, although it show as owned on the shop site.

Is there something i have to do further to be able to use it?

Usual checks:
- which platform (diffeent online storeas AFAIK cor consoles)
- did you buy it for the correct account (in case you have multiple)
- did you buy it for the correct ship

If that doesn't work out, contact support.
 
Thanks for the reply, i am playing the PC version, but i don't see a selection option for which platform to buy the paint-job, or for anything else for that matter... Strange... I did 'buy' the free glasses for the hollow-me a week or so ago the same way and these just appear the normal way in-game...
I wait a little longer and contact support about when not appearing in a few hours...
 
Not knowing how much you know - did you go to Livery and try to apply it?
It doesn't just appear on the ship. You have to go in and apply it.
Also, I did have to log off the ED launch screen and log back in once when I bought a paint job.

Probably because you can't buy a paintjob (or anything else) from the FD store for any console. But I'm not a console peon, either, so this is just hearsay (and irrelevant in either case).
I've seen this discussion from time to time in the past, when a console user bought something in FD's shop and couldn't use it.

In your case, it sounds like a support issue.
 
If you go in Livery section with proper ship, and your bought paint shows as preview only that indead means something is bugged out and you should contact support.
 
I have bought a few items that seemed to take forever to show up in game. Logging completely out and back in usually works, bit other times it did not work and I’ve just had to wait a few hours.

In your case, it sounds like a support issue.

I purchase store items for my PC accounts using www.frontierstore.net. All the items are also available on my PS4 account with direct in-game purchases. I'm trying to resist! :)

Either way they show up in minutes. The PC key is matching the store login email with the exact game login email. This is automatic with the PS4 in-game.

Is it possible that a person might've logged into the website using a console user-name and then, even though they were playing on a PC, a purchase in the store might be allocated to the console account?

Course, if the OP only has a single account, for a PC, this definitely won't be the issue but it might be something for other people to be wary of.
