Newcomer / Intro Bought a 'shield cell bank' to improve shields but have lost shields, how do i set?

I bought a shield cell block thinking it would repair damaged shields quicker but now when flying i don't seem to have an shields at all. what do i do to fix this? I've had a good look around but i can't find a setting...

You'll need shields and a shield bank. You've probably replaced the shield generator...

Also, bear in mind how shield cells work - you "fire" them like a weapon (and they have a set number of charges) to feed energy back into shields that are still up. As far as I know, the cell has no effect on recharge rate or strength, other than what you can "fire" into the shields. And the shields have to be active, the cells won't speed up bringing back downed shields.
