Engineers Bought an Anaconda-Can't go anywhere without being attacked.

So I recently bought an Anaconda and whenever I go to a new system or drop at a signal source most of the time an Anaconda or powerful Federal Gunship appears and attacks or interdicts immediately. If I escape the Interdiction within ten seconds it happens again, if I manage to escape the combat they follow and interdict me again and again. This goes on until the ship disappears or I make it to a station (I have been attacked when I drop at the stations as well). This happens even if I have no active missions. It is impossible to gain credits with the hundreds of thousands in constant repairs or millions in rebuy. Is this simply because of my ship or should I submit a bug report?

It's probably got something to do with you, not your ship. You have a bounty somewhere? You part of PowerPlay? You carrying any cargo, of any kind?

That's right. Make a small checklist:
-have bounty?
-anarchy system?
-powerplay hostile area?
-carrying cargo?
-making a mission?
-hostile with minor control faction?

If you can answer this all with no, than you got a problem. But i bet at least one of these questions you can answer with 'yes' ;)

It has to do with your ship. Flying a Corvette I would often get interdicted by Anacondas and FDLs. I switched to an imperial courier and my enemies are eagles and sidewinders.

I have a small fleet from Conda down to a Sidey. I notice when I fly the small ships I tend to get interdicted by ships of similar size but Elite rank. Due to my Dangerous combat rank and higher Exploration and Trade ranks. Hoping I get a good boost to my exploration rank after I get back from the H&S nebulae.
I got 15% toward Elite just doing 5000lyrs for Palin. So the 8000lyrs to H&S I'm hoping for 20%. Though I think getting stuck on the Palin run meant I. Visited more systems than intended!

It is possible you are carrying semi-hidden cargo ("inventory") and may not know it. Unless you are collecting materials check your Inventory tab and discard ANYTHING that is not actual haulage. Even empty ships get interdicted, occasionally though.

If you don't have any trade or missions cargo, just get into the habit of hitting the "jettison cargo" button. So if you do get interdicted the cargo drop should shut them up.

I have never been interdicted to being empty.
As long as the "ship inventory" (everything that takes up tonnage,
is empty, apart from limpets you are safe from being interdicted
based on the cargo reason.
