Just like the title says I bought it, and downloaded it, and now all the game will do is let me play normal ED or Horizons... There is no option for Odyssey, even clicking play from the store page for odyssey only brings up the same launcher I had before I bought Odyssey. Getting a bit irritated here because I have been trying to figure this out for a couple hours now.
Bought odyssey downloaded... how do I play it?

Yeah sorry, it was Steam I bought it from, and I did what you said and it still says nothing about Odyssey
The longer this goes the madder I am getting, I spent 7 hours downloading this and now that it is downloaded I expect to be able to play the damned thing. No indication of if there is supposed to be a separate launcher for it, like there was for horizons or anything so I have no idea what I am looking for.
Have you tried the Steam forums? I’d like to help, but I now use Frontier’s launcher. A lot of the people posting here are Brits, and it’s after midnight for them.
I used Steam before migrating to just using the Frontier launcher. When I ran Steam, it just launched the FDev launcher, and I would choose what I want to run. However, they changed how Steam interacts with Elite, so I have no idea what is happening to you. Closing everything might help. You might also be able to navigate directly to the executable and run it (?).

Keys were how it worked when I bought, but my understanding is that they were phased out in 2019 or so. The new system is different.
I saw this on the Steam forum.
“For those not seeing Odyssey in their launchers.
Goto options on your ED launcher.
Log out.
Goto your account on the Frontier website.
Under your name and it should be the third link from the bottom "Partner Keys"
Just log in through Steam as it says.
Now back to your ED launcher and log back in through Steam as it says on 1/3 buttons.

LOL I JUST read that one and did what it said and it DID fix my issue, I have the Odyssey option in my launcher now, Thank you for taking the time to do a search to help me out, i really appreciate it.
