Bounties and Bounty missions MUST show ship type

When showing the top 5 bounties in a system it should/must show what type of ship the bounty is on. This is also true of bounty missions, they also should show what ship the criminal was flying. Say 'was' because yes I realise this may change, but at least if it shows 'Sidewinder' we can have some idea that we won't suddenly find ourselves up against a fully armed Anaconda! (we might, but . . .)

This will make it much more likely that people will actually attempt it - which after all is the whole point isn't it?!

At present the 'not knowing' aspect of what we will be going after I'm sure puts most would be bounty hunters off (I know it does me). Which means that lot's of criminals are literally 'getting away with murder' . .

We can change ships at any time. Since it's a design goal that NPC's act in similar ways to real players, it would be wrong to state a ship type as the target may not be in that type later.

While that is true, the contract that you take has some intel on the ship position and the latest whereabouts, either by a sector patrol or survivors of the attack,
who in return could sell their sensor data, containing the ship type.

I am supporting this idea.

I don't. It promotes further dumbing down of the game. Not knowing the ship type is part of the adventure. In any case for large bounty missions you can pretty much guarantee that you're not going up against a Sidewinder, that's half the point.

I don't mind having a "last seen piloting a ... " when they recode the AI to beta standards of difficulty.

As it is now they will be big, with nasty guns and easy to kill.

No point in chasing these big boyz other than the credits and reputation. Challenge is minimum.
