Bounties and Super Cruise!

Been playing for a few weeks now and I've noticed some things that could use some tweaking.

I see people constantly talk about adding Auto-Pilot. This is stupid as it takes away some of the exploration of the game, the free will.

HOWEVER, the current system is not perfect either, with the getting too close to solar masses and such to slow down from final destination.

Has anyone ever thought of having the computer input something like... "Best Route" or something in to the Nav system to where it will plot a course through the system taking into consideration the fastest flight time, avoiding planets and such? Could be a blue or green line that pops up that you follow for best trajectory or something. I would assume that in 3500AD they'd have something similar to this.

Second thing... Bounties!

I'm friendly with the Federation Forces, and when I'm Bounty Hunting in the belts and such, I will get pinged for WANTED and a 300 infraction when I attack someone that the Federation is attacking and is wanted, EVEN tho i haven't scanned them yet! This is hell of annoying as sometimes there are 3-4 fights going on at once in the local area I'm in and I want to capitalize on the income gained. Is there anything to be done to make it where you don't pick up a bounty for shooting someone that the Feds are shooting at ad is wanted, before scanning them?

My two thoughts, other than that, this game rocks =D

If I am reading this correct..
You need to scan and have them show up as 'Wanted' on your HUD before you engage them or you will get a bounty

Yes. Say for instance I'm attacking an Eagle who has 3 in his wing including himself. HE is wanted, and so are his friends. I kill the eagle and focus on the Anaconda now who the Feds are shooting at. I pop him with my beam lasers before I let the sscan finish and I get a 300 Bounty on him. NOW, not only can I not finish the kill, I have to jet my out of there before the Feds lock me and kill me too!

That is beyond stupid. If I KNOW the guy is wanted, and the Feds are lighting his ass up, then I shouldn't get a bounty for hitting him before the scan is complete! Thats ridiculous!

"Hey thanks for the help with that guy! I would have died if you didn't jump in... But here's the thing...." PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW dead....

I agree, it is ridiculous that you will get wanted for shooting wanted. Below is a screenshot proving that this indeed is the case. I think that only KWS (Kill Warrant Scanner) avoids you getting wanted, but still it's rather stupid and artificially created purpose for KWS.

If you are looking ways to capitalize the BH income, you might want to take a look onto my previous thread about BH tips:

I agree the wanted thing needs to be a bit more intelligent.

The theory has to be that the computer checks in with a nearby authority or the magical communication system that allows GalNet to propagate to other systems but not trade data. Likewise, bounties can only be incurred if somebody who is reporting criminal activity witnesses the infringement. I assume that this report goes to the same system that tells you if somebody is wanted. So having it only dish out wanted statuses when attacking clean ships seems logical.

I also object to the instantaneous affect of getting wanted on system authorities etc. I've often shot too early when my wingman is already engaged, or accidentally clipped a clean vessel. I don't become wanted and then a while later somebody spots this and engages me - it's instant. Everything turns red and all the AI breaks off from whatever they were doing and bears down on me.
