Bounties listed in transactions should list infraction(s)

Good day,
I've recently picked up Res hunting and am enjoying myself, but I'm running into problems witht he bounty system. I've looked online for explinations about how this works, and so far I beleive I understand the overall process and have no problem with it.

My problem is that I'm picking up bounties but am not understanding why I'm getting them. I have twice now attacked an NPC labeled "wanted" and aquired a bounty of 200 credits for my troubles. The second time I had a dormant bounty, and immediately was given wanted status myself. I also earned a 5000 credit bounty for destroying one of those wanted fellows.

My request is simple- provide us with an in-game way to see a log of what in-game actions earned us fines or bounties, and how it was dealt with (fine paid, bounty collected, etc). This would go a long way to let us know what we have done to get where we are.

Sounds to me that you were hitting enforcer/police ships attacking the wanted ship through friendly fire. This is a semi-common issue with novice players that don't know how to control their fire and spray the area indiscriminately.

When you return to the station to turn in your bounties, check to see what the fine is for -- they should give a brief explanation as to why you got it.

Heh, wait 'til you start using the Kill-Warrant Scanner and end up with bounties for sectors 10 or more jumps from your location. You'll begin to appreciate Shadow Officers to turn them in (even with a 25% reduction in payout).

Agreed, but not applicable to my specific situation

I'd agree that friendly fire is something that I have learned about to the tune of 15M credits.

But this was not the case in either scenario I'm confused about; there were no additional ships in the instance. The first time, I was on a "massacer the deserters" mission. Found my second mission mark, saw wanted on the scan (or maybe just mission target, I don't remember exactly- I just saw red text). The targets were pirates, or supposed to be. Earned a 200 credit bounty on initial attack, and 5k bounty on kill. The second scenario, I had found a mission mark in a signal and killed him already. Another pirate appeared, definiely with a wanted flag. I engaged him and got another 200 credit bounty that bumped the previously dormant bounty to an active bounty. I'm looking for clarification as to what made those actions bounty-worthy. I think having this shown in game would also be helpful, so players know exactly what earned them outstanding fines and bounties.

The only other suggestion I have is to do a filming of the scenario and share it. From there, someone around here that has a sharp eye (and a lot of them actually do), might be able to explain it. But from the amount of the fine, it sounds like friendly fire.

That was a tough lesson to the tune of 15M credits. But in both cases I mentioned before, there were no other affiliated ships there- just me and the target I was issued a bounty for attacking/killing. Again, I'm not sure what I did to earn the infractions.

Unlikely, then FDev would have to write code for "ASPX had its thrusters shot out and flew into you while you were trying to defend it, ergo you rammed it and now you have a bounty in your favourite RES for 4 days for murder....lol".

That's much more detail than I'm asking for. The code for assigning bounties already exists. I'm asking that the infraction detected be presented to the pilot as an itemized list. Case in point, say I'm in a Res and scratch the paint on a system enforcer. The existing transactions list will have an entry for either a fine or a bounty for X creds. I would like to be able to click on that and get a item by item list of how that came to be, eg 200 credit fine for unsafe flying in station, 200 credit bounty for attacking a non-agressor, 5000 bounty for murdering pilot, 1000 bounty from unpaid fine, 6400 credit legacy fine from expired bounty.

Yes, I really would like to know what happened in my particular case, but I have no footage and thus no recourse. But I beleive that for "governmental" transparency, there should be a way to list the individual sources of fines and bounties any faction assignes to a pilot.

And I apologize for my repost earlier. This moderator approved bit and timing of the email response from the forum has me messed up.
