How come do bounty timers reset every time you die, and then reset every time they become active again? Its impossible to make them go away.

The bounties go away permanently only if the person who kills you knows that you're wanted. They scan you, discover you're wanted, and then take you out. If you crash, get killed by a pirate, die in a conflict zone, or anything else where the cause of death was unrelated to your bounty, it doesn't go away after you die.

I was addressing the fact that the timer resets if I die, not that it doesn't go away if I die
