having not played in a while, i was on a mission, but had to log off. couldnt log back in to complete it until the mission had failed and thus received a bounty.
i managed to survive the week except i think the last 60 - 120 mins remaining. now, from memory, when you died with a bounty it disappeared.

but it seems that right now, its reset the timer back to 7 days. again, not played in a while, but this seems a bit odd.
is this the norm now?

ive been to the system where the factions controlling station is, and ive found no place where i can pay off the bounty. atm it seems a bit odd.
btw im tagged by LOS CHUPACABRAS. i "think" their home system is LFT 926. any suggestions?

You die and it becomes a dormant bounty (unless you respawn in a system where the faction is present). If you reoffend or get scanned by a cop it becomes an active bounty again.

You can't pay off an active bounty. All you can do is wait til it becomes dormant, then wait till the dormant period expires without reoffending, then it becomes a legacy fine which can be paid off, if you wish.

So. for a 200cr fine like open fire one split second sooner than the scan is finished, you became the police target, and you can't enter the stations is just way stupid. a fine, is a fine. you pay for it, and thats the end of it. Or if stacks up too much of it? Than you legitimately became a target.
