Engineers Bounty Hunter AI magically conjuring themselves on your 6

I am glad AI is more challenging.

There is a difference between challenging and cheatmode.

I get interdicted by an AI bounty hunter. I outrun, jump to supercruise. He interdicts me again in less than 15 seconds.

I outrun him again, jump to supercruise... max throttle for 10 seconds, slow down and manually drop myself out of supercruise.

Lo and behold, the AI is DIRECTLY ON MY 6. Even though he should be still jumping to supercruise to follow me.

Seriously, fix this magical teleportation rubbish and quit the AI cheatmode implementations.

Make them good, but make them good within the same laws as physics as we have to operate within.
 
Agree, a guy I am playing alongside got interdicted by a guy who he just saw getting killed by some feds within 10 seconds of him jumping out
in order to achieve this the NPC would have to ignore his FSD charge time, interdictor charge time, and the time it took for the guy to escape the mass lock of the security conda he was being killed by (this was a python)
 
With this, I agree completely.
The RNG was MUCH worse in the past. Now, that the NPCs are somewhat persistent it is actually less obvious, but when it happens, it's really cringy.
 
Same happened to me last night.. I was in a Python ... at a moment I was interdicted by a Deadly Fed. Dropship.. submitted and w.o. Immediately I was interdicted by a Master Python.. Submitted and accepted the fight, we were equal.. after around 15 sec of fight Fed Dropship was on my back, mass-locked and that was the end, both killed me in few seconds, a lot of heat inflicted... no time to select a system to jump..and forgot about the magic "restart" button on my comp :D..not that is the problem, but how Dropship arrived exactly in the battle field ?? submitting to a interdiction result in a some low wake ? even so, the time was to short for him to do that.... probably a "magical teleportation ", as Red Fox Four said..
 
Yup.

Intradiction happens immediately not even a chance to avoid it.
Engage in battle well more avoid take damage...run....jump.
Within 10secs NPC appears again instant intradiction take damage....try to run....death.


Now if that was myself. It would be try to intradict IF successful then engage in battle. They run....head to wake. Scan wake. Head to same system. Follow them intradict process starts again....

Bit more lengthy isnt it.
 
My point still stands.

NPCs need to follow same restrictions as we do.

If an NPC is in an FdL with same loadout as me then he should not magically have tighter turn rate than me. Or less heat generation. Or stronger shields.

Same with interdictions. They should follow same FSD cooldown, same time to fly to next low wake and so on.

This artificial boosting of NPCs to make them tougher needs to stop! #Enough

Lets not even talk about the plasmas that fire like multicannons.
 
The NPCs are cheating in a lot of ways, not just this one. Keep in mind that they are not "following you" they are "spawning on you", because of the instance design this game are working with. Also NPCs have infinite range of FS drive in any ship (you think NPc's vipers, sidewinders, vultures etc. can't follow your 30 Ly + jumps? They can.) Do you think NPC's bother with your chaff launcher? Nope, they can scan you anyway and hit you right where it hurts. You have some smuggling mission and security system vessel tries to interdict you, you escape and jump to another system and gues what, he is already there waiting for you in perfect position to interdict you. This is why some people are using "ctrl + alt + delete strategy" when doing smuggling missions. Honestly i don't think this is gonna change, since FD made them like that, so i gues they wanted them like that.
 
Yeah this entire 2.1 NPC ramp up be it with Eng mods or this insane cheating AI tastes as rotten as the fish they fed the engineers in beta. ...if not worse.

That they fly patterns that try to fight you...great.. they flee when its intell to do so...yeah fine, but evrrrything else.... FISH and rotten guts
