Bounty hunter, the free cargo your marks occasionally drop is a bonus - sometimes a very lucrative one
Brought down my first Anaconda just before, i was in a viper and an NPC cobra helped too (the conda was attacking him). I only got 600 bounty for him but bagged a few canisters of titanium which more than compensated for the poor bounty

I would say "vigilante" defines it best.
your not quite law enforcement, as you help yourself to cargo and deal with black markets.
not quite a pirate, because you only persecute known criminals, and not your fellow citizenry
not quite a mercenary because no one pays you for this duty
and "traffic monitor/trash collector" isn't glamorous enough
and "because i'm BATMAN!!" is a bit over the top
so, vigilante. you won't officially be a Lone Wolf Bounty Hunter Fett, until a legal Salvage License sort of thing exists.

I'd say you're an opportunistic Bounty Hunter.
I do the exact same thing. I only steal from criminals.
I would call myself a vigilante that finances good deeds with the stolen cargo of true criminals. I also do not kill larger ships that don't fire back. Once they release their cargo I let them go. I do kill the smaller ships though.You also have to be a bit of a smuggler to get that cargo to market.
