Bounty Hunting Balance

(Sorry I posted in two sections, I wasn't sure which one so i chose both).

Even though bounty hunting is profitable it still pales in comparison to trading, along with mining, exploring and pirating. I have found this to be a bit disappointing, early in the game I was having a hell of a time blowing up pirate ships in my sidewinder until I could get an eagle and then a viper, But now I have had a cobra for a while bounty hunting just isn't cutting it anymore so I turned to trading in order to make me some 'moolah' but I have to tell you that it is incredibly BORING, sure I can trade and get around two million credits/hour (In a type 6) and churn out way more than I could in bounty hunting, bounty hunting is way more exciting and same for exploring. So what I propose is that based on your ships total value bounty claims and possibly sale on system data (haven't thought this one through) could greatly speed up the credit earning process using these methods and means that trading will not be the only good late game method to earn credits and will increase the variety in game play and allow people to explore the systems they are in and travel around the galaxy. What is the point having 400 billion+ star systems if no one will explore them because they cannot progress in the game by doing so, leaving them abandoned and a waste of effort on the dev site of things.

In my opinion, bounty hunting is fine. If something needs to change, I think trading could be tightened up just a bit (specifically, the T9 tier commodity trading). As for your points about exploration and mining, I agree that mining is awful. Regarding exploration, it was never really about the credits anyway.

But we should all wait for powerplay to see what's happening.

i have to disagree with paling in comparison to trading. go to a nav becon with a kill warrent scanner in a pirate system, i have made millions in hours of doing that while my buddy puts around in a lakon trying to trade and the comparison is his 14,000,000 total assets to my 33,000,000 and that leaves him "displeased" especialy since he started playing before me.

Thanks. I might try this, I have done that before but I didn't have a warrant scanner... That might have helped.

Today ive made 10,000,000 from bounties. It might be a little less profitable than trading, but it is 10x more fun and thats what counts.

Making Credits isn't the most important here, I suggest player go for the long hull to fully enjoy ED

... it's not eveonline really.

Fully agree with you hawkenfox. This game I believe; is a long term commitment. If the other peeps want a quick fix, then go play CoD. I started to play in early Dec 14, and I have had a tremendous amount of fun (every thing other than minning, mining can go EAD).
