Bounty hunting frustrations

This is probably only my second real whine since I started playing in pb1, so cut me a little slack, but...

I'm starting to get frustrated with bounty hunting.

The game seems to be making it impossibly difficult for me to actually shoot at anything.

Head off to a nav beacon and the only wanted ships are faction friendly, take missions from the board to repeatedly hop in to uss's to find the same clean lakon buying wares, scan ships in sc to find most are clean or faction friendly, the same goes for resource extraction sites. I've never so much as seen a wanted pc.

I don't need it to be lucrative, just entertaining and then be able to cover my ammunition and repair costs. When I decide to jump out of my lakon6 and into my tricked out viper, it's because I'm in the mood for a little pew pew, what I don't want at that point is to be constantly chasing my tail looking for something, anything to shoot at.

I really hope FD are going to work on this somewhat, as at the moment it can be quite tedious.

It can be tedious at times. I find the first few minutes of "waiting" is usually followed by lots of action after things start to domino.

I can't say I've had the same experience, but I'm not as faction conscious as others are. For bounty hunting, I stick to nav points and extraction sites. Anarchy systems are good places to hunt but you definitely need a KWS to take advantage of the area. USS spots in anarchy space can be nice opportunities as well. As in many things in this game, it requires patience and a certain level of discipline.

They are nearly all clean when you first enter a non-anarchy nav beacon. But after hanging around for a min or so they come in droves. Also I attack wanted friendly and allied wanted ships and haven't noticed any rep hit at all.

Go to an anarchy system where the real action is. It's a free for all there, I bounty hunt, pirate, pick up loot dropped by ships being attacked, take out competing bounty hunters until everyone is hostile to me and blow them out of the sky. Recently I was quite simply in the zone at 2am in the morning before going to bed, I was taking out ships that were attacking me in 2s or sometimes 3s. When I eventually ran out of MC ammo I used my 2 puny lasers, that was the best session I ever had. I was undefeated, and then I lost all my bounties crashing into an imperial clipper which had 15% hull left. Oh well, was a good day to die (eject), lol.

Resource extraction sites = endless stream of pirates
