Bounty Hunting in Anarchy

Way back in Beta 1 I am almost 100% sure hitting anything in a Anarchy system wouldn't net you any fine or bounty. Heading back to one today, i can't hit clean targets with out getting a fine, is this working as intended? Don't get me wrong, if they have indeed changed it I just have to refine how i pirate and choose a better system. More so just curious.

You should not get a fine if you are in anarchic space. You will need a kill warrant scanner for bounty hunting there though.

There was an earlier thread about this where a system is described in the galaxy map as anarchy but the factions (major maybe?) where not anarchy.... need to search for exact details. Some comment about galaxy map only getting updated on upgrades??

You are both right, but to clarify i do have a KW scanner and i was in a Anarchy system,at least according to the galaxy map.The System is Alnair. On the galaxy map filter for allegiance it is shown as yellow (Independent) and in the government filter it is shown as orange(Anarchy). Now in the System Map that's where the information differs. The government is listed as Corporate instead of Anarchy. Also the controlling faction is the Purple Energy Exchange who just so happen to be allied with the Empire. I guess i'll just have to go to an anarchy system that still has an anarchy controlling faction.

Dont get fooled by galaxy map, It may show some systems as anarchy, but controling fractions may be not anarchy... Galaxy map seems to not update with its systems with who is controling it. Check system status or goto RES or NavB... if you see any "WANTED" before KW scan, it means anarchy fraction aint no more rules this system. Just another litte thing for FD team to fix.

Finding a good anarchy system to hunt in is unnecessarily difficult.
Try out hyperborea not sure if that's spelled right but it's a good system for it.
