Ships Bounty Hunting/Light Trading, Grinding to Clipper, Currently on my Cobra, Whats next?

I'm trying to grind out to an imperial clipper. I mostly bounty hunt because of limited play time but I do do some trading on the side. I have a Cobra MK III at the moment that is fully kitted out with the most advanced shields, reactor, thrusters and sensors it can carry. What ship should be my next step? Should I move on to the Asp or just keep grinding away in my Cobra?

Maybe Vulture, and do some bounty hunting at resource extraction sites? I can afford higher end ships, but I've just been trading rare items in Cobra. I make a few million credits in an hour or so, but I get board quickly doing the same things over and over again.

Asp is a solid inbetween choice for both hunting and trading. You can double the cargo capacity compared to the Cobra and get two more weapons. You also get greater jump range. You lose on maneuverability and speed though.

Asp is a bit slower and less maneuverable, and also a much bigger target. But more firepower. It is a very good trader for its price, and has amazing jump range. It is the next great multirole ship after the cobra, imo. Its combat performance is its weakest point, imo, but it is still actually quite decent at it, if kitted and used properly.
