bounty hunting rep borked?

is the bounty hunting rep messed up? i'm killing off pirates in a fed system, all wanted, none from the feds factions.

i cash in my bounties and LOSE rep

?

worth ticketing or are the devs already on this?

I saw the same happen yesterday, Jade. As tough as it can be to raise rep, this sort of "game feature" is not a plus.

I've personally seen rep lost with assassination and pirate killing missions. I'm not doing those missions any more until I see a patch note / dev post it's been fixed. Been that way since launch.

annoying. "bounty hunting" was the universal suggestion on how to repair my fed rep, something which i still have no idea why it was so low.

guess it's back to bulletin boards delivery missions....nothing else seems reliable

Normally bounty hunting IS a great way to gain rep. Yesterday was a real oddity tho. ALl wanted by the Fed aligned ruling faction and I gained neg rep turning them in (the indicators showed red down arrows but my status didn't actually change). MAY be a one off. Seems to be working ok today... so far.

i've ticketed it, only way that the devs will know if theres an issue. these forums = too much noise.

Probably a good idea. Unfortunately, with next to nothing from FD to judge what is working as intended or not, I scarcely have any interest in filing bug reports for what may be, coulda been, might not be, shoulda been some sort of bug. That love of mystery in game mechanics on the part of FD has some discouraging aspects.
