Bounty hunting tips? (credits-earning wise)

I'm already proficient at combat and it's very rare that my marks even dent one ring of shields before they go down (having shields might help them out). This isn't a thread about combat.

What this thread is about is making money off bounty hunting. Right now I've earned a total of 400,000 credits from bounties (give or take) in the last three days. I thought that was pretty good, until I made 150k in a few hours in the Sorbago combat zones. I also hear that people are making hundreds of thousands (even over a million) per day bounty hunting. The combat zones have gotten me pretty good at taking out the more common big ships (ASPs, Clippers, Pythons), but I never seem to find them flying around systems and if I do, they're clean.

So I ask: what am I missing in regards to bounty hunting? I'm currently in a reasonably kitted (~600,000 credit value) Cobra, and am currently located in Sorbago. I'm comfortable taking down large targets, if only I could find some (I don't quite trust myself to do the Elite Anaconda missions quite yet)

I already have a KWS... by anarchy do you mean no government or legitimate anarchy government? Because in the completely uninhabited systems I usually only get 4-5k from pirates after scan.

Depends on the ship and the capabilities of a pilot. A "deadly" eagle will get you more than a "harmless" asp.

I have found that you get bigger bounties at extraction sites in big population systems. However, if you visit a Nav beacons in Anarchy systems you can get bounties and then scoop cargo dropped.

I regularly pick up slaves that sell for 5k+ on the black market (in anarchy systems) after killing the bounty which adds quite a few CR to the balance sheet.
