Bounty no bounty??

I was hunting bounties in Dvorsi in a Res. About half of the ships that had "wanted" on them actually transferred payment for said bounty. Am I doing something wrong? I mean...it's pretty much point and shoot right?
I open fired on a wanted criminal but I got nothing as payment for dispatching them.

check your transaction panel (left panel) for claims. you have to turn in the claim to the appropriate party to get the credits.

That almost sounds like an insult^^ No, the transaction tab doesn't change when that happens. The tab stays empty, so does the Info panel.

I even lit it on fire in the station for them...they snubbed me and walked away :(
