I've been hunting in the same HRES for the last couple of weeks and last night I got a, "critical mission update," message saying that I had annoyed the local pirate band and they sent an assassin to get me.
I'm flying my sidey, and I get pulled out of SC by a FAS, so I run. Didn't high wake, so he pulls me out again, and this time I can't get away so I decide to fight. (All pirate scum should die!) I manage to out maneuver him for a while and knock down his shields, but I was down to 50% hull and was sure he was going to get me, when the cavalry arrived! First one, then three more federal vipers, showed up and we sent the pirate to Davey Jones' Locker.
Haha!
Oh, and I got a 900Cr bounty from the destruction of the assassin. Yeah, 900! I'm rich!
