Bounty on ship?

Hi everyone. I had a thought about bounties being on ships now. I didn't hear this on the stream and was wondering if anyone knows this.
Since bounties are locked to the ship you committed the crime with.. could you if you had your favourite ship with a huge bounty on it go to a starport store all modules and then sell the ship and buy a new one and fit all your stored modules. Technically that should wipe the bounties because its a different ship? Has anyone tried this.

I find it quite ironic with the new C&P. I never considered ever being a pirate or any other criminal. However, now it is the ship that is wanted, I'm actually inclined to build an out and out pirate ship and go hunting in another system, safe in the knowledge I can go 'home' jump into my other ships and then fly around as normal. It's almost like having an alt account within your original account.

So to bypass this. Buy a ship and A rate it with no engineering, go do WHAT EVER you want then go sell the ship and your clear no need to worry about bounties or the new system cant remember the name ever again as long as you dont get blown up. The new suicidwinder.

Well I think that is the whole point, you can't use your God ship that you spent a billion hours engineering into a death machine, well you can use it, but there will be consequences.

Not saying I would do that. I know people will probably do that. I just dont see the point on putting the bounty on the ship. Unless its your fully engineered ship. Who cares.
For example when you get fines etc and lose your license in your car the fine etc doesnt go on the car its on you.

Well I'd never do it myself. But I'm sure there are people out there that will. And as long as your not in your fully engineered ship theres no consequences as long as you dont get blown up. Just sell the ship and never have to worry.
I just dont fully agree with the bounty being on the ship rather than the pilot. For example when you get fines in your car or lose your license it's on you not the car. You can't just switch cars and get away with it. But hey if fd want it this way its going to be this way.
